Family Pictures

We have been in Utah this past month while Josh does a rotation at Primary Children's Hospital. While he has been busy kissing butt and being impressive at work, I have been hanging out, catching up with old friends and having a great time. While we have been here we had our first official family pictures taken (mind you I still have not lost all my baby weight yet)! I wanted to give you a quick preview... I will post more later about some of the fun things our family did while on "vaca"

Lifes too short is a lesson we learn

I have to add this to the blog as a tribute and as a reminder to my self to always be grateful for what I have. This past week I received a text from Josh (who was at the hospital) one morning with the sad news that some friends of ours were in a terrible accident. The wife was pregnant with their second child and taken to the Surgical ICU for massive internal bleeding and head injuries. The 15 month old daughter was admitted but released the following day. The husband was in the ICU when his wife lost the baby and passed away. Josh happened to be in the room when she died. This obviously came as a shock to everyone as the family was so young, in fact, Josh and I had just seen them at stake conference the week before and I was admiring how sweet and happy they looked. Despite the sadness of this tragedy (which is indescribable) I have learned some valuable lessons that I never want to forget. The child like person I have been, has been feeling like Heavenly Father has not been listening to my plea for help with Wyatt (who has been sick and not sleeping through the night for months now). I have been complaining of the long hours Josh puts in at the hospital rather than being at home with his family. I have been thinking that my calling is taking too much time from things that really matter. I realize now how faithless I have been and how ungrateful I have been acting. I am so very very lucky to have all the things in my life that I do. I am so grateful to be alive and to have a healthy beautiful son to hold in the middle of the night when he can't sleep. We are so lucky that Josh can go to medical school and have the chance to help save others' lives. I am lucky and strong enough to take care of our home so that Josh can spend time taking care of others that probably need him more right now than I do. My calling plays an important role in teaching others the plan of salvation and preparing people to make covenants that help fulfill Heavenly Father's plan, the same plan that keeps families together forever. My testimony has been greatly strengthened. I have pondered over the past few days as to why these types of things happen to the people you feel deserve them the least. I think about the wonderful woman that was lost and realize she was much stronger, long suffering, charitable, Christ-like than I am. The only conclusion I have come to is that she has fulfilled her tasks here on earth, she was ready and Heavenly Father knew that. She had faithfully done the work that was needed of her. I know that there are countless blessings that are marked for her and her family for enduring this devastating tragedy. Our hearts go out to her family, especially her husband who is going to have a long road ahead of him. I hope that I always remember how lucky I am, I hope I always live life and look more to my blessings than the disappointments. I hope I can always keep my focus on the eternal perspective of things.

Seven Months and cruising

I am a little behind, but Wyatt is now 7 months and crawling like a crazy man! Some of the fun things he does now: Makes yummy noises while he eats (I mean the entire meal & yells when you don't shovel it in fast enough), he NEVER holds still and will try to crawl off everything (we have to change him while he is on all fours and its all we can do to keep him on the changing table), he loves to crawl everywhere he is not supposed to be (like under the end tables), he sucks in his bottom and upper lips and makes silly fish faces, he throws fits now when he doesn't get what he wants, he is REALLY REALLY loud and likes to scream like a little girl (he is always happy but just loves to be loud. We are in the hall at church not because of crying!), he eats puffs & yogurt melts and can put them in his mouth by himself, he loves to watch his baby Einstein videos, and he can sit up by himself now. His new things is that he will chase after Tyke and always tries to get into Tyke's toys, that's been my new battle during the days is separating the two. This month to celebrate we took at trip to ATL,GA to visit some of our friends. We visited Chocolate Pink (a fancy dessert place I saw on Real Housewives of ATL- see pic). Wyatt tried a Popsicle for the first time and loved it, Josh was eating one at grandma/grandpa Fuller's and he decided to share, my favorite photo is of Wyatt's red lips. He kept begging for more. Wyatt also got his first fever this past week(102) we had Josh and another resident friend of ours check him out and they must have done a great job because he is all better and back to his busy self! Here are some fun pictures I took this month of new things. I also included 3 videos- one of Josh and Wyatt playing after Josh got home from work (a daily tradition) and one of Wyatt discovering a mirror I put in him room for him to play with (he was way excited about it at first and was sucking on it like a blow fish and smiling and laughing but I was late with the camera) and one of Wyatt and his crawling action.
PS on a side note, we have now officially applied to a few hospitals for residency. We will be interviewing now until the end of the year and will know in January where we will be moving too!! video video video

6 Months for this little monkey man

Have you ever noticed that at different stages of life your kids remind you of different kinds of animals! When Wyatt was first born he was my little lizard because his tongue would never quit, He started growing to be huge so he was our little moose, when he screams and talks loud he is my little canary, when he wiggles all over he is my little monkey, and now that he is teething and sucking everything I call him my little sucker fish cause he will suction his face to his highchair and sometimes even the side of my face!

On August 2nd Wyatt was officially half a year old. Some of my favorite things about him at six months are:
- When he gets tickled he laughs so hard it sounds like he is going to be sick
- He loves to put his fist in his mouth at the same time the binki/paci is in his mouth
- He really plays in the bath now and loves his toys, he plays this game with his dad where he arches his back and throws his bum off the seat and slides down into the water. Josh will pick him up but he does it over and over again while smiling and laughing
- He crawls! He gets on all fours and pushes with his big toes and falls flat on to his tummy then gets up and does it again till he reaches what he was going after
- He LOVES to eat. He still makes the yummy noises while he is eating and screams if you don't shovel the food in fast enough. Some of the things he likes: mangoes, bananas w/cherries, peaches w/blueberries, sweet potatoes w/broccoli (that was an acquired taste that took us a while to enjoy- he actually screamed the first time he ate broccoli), peas w/carrots, zucchini, corn, pears, avocado, etc.
- He and Tyke love to play together. Wyatt tries to eat Tyke and Tyke loves to lick the baby (trying to separate them all day drives me crazy!) He loves to watch Tyke and will lean out of his high chair to watch him
- He still loves music. We sing to him in the car and we always have jams on in the house during the day
- He loves going for walks, especially now that he sits forward in the stroller. We try to go out everyday.
- He loves to read story books! We read before each nap and bed time. His favorite is Dr. Seuss, Llama Llama Mad at Mama, The Giving Tree, If You Give a Moose a Muffin, Little Critter books. (I think I love story time even more than he does)
- He has graduated to a big car seat now.
- He likes grocery shopping now because he sits in the cart seat (thanks grandma Fuller!) The first thing he discovered was that he could reach the groceries and decided he would grab stuff and start to eat the boxes, soda bottles, etc.
- He sleeps on his tummy like his mom. We had to get him a MANLY (ha ha ha) seahorse toy to help him sleep!

This month we also took him to his first baseball game! Go Charleston River Dogs!

His 6 month Dr.'s appointment he was over 18 lbs (45th percentile) and 27.5 inches long (75th percentile). He likes to feed himself his own bottles, he still wakes up during the night to eat again (which I don't love) and is a very independent little boy. He would rather be on the floor in his room playing than being tied down in a stroller or me holding him. He will push me away if I start giving him too many kisses and loves to chat with me all day. When he talks he talks so loud and sounds like he is screaming even when he is happy. One of his favorite toys is his new Elmo (thanks grandma & grandpa Pool!) I love my crazy little man!

Wyatt's 5 Months

July 2nd (Grandma Pool's b-day) Wyatt turned 5 months old. We had a blast spending the day on vacation. Wyatt has been so much fun lately because he can interact so much. I just love to see the little personality come through, you know it's been there the whole time he can just express himself now!
Some of my favorite new things:
- He laughs so much and really giggles it almost sounds like he is going to be sick
- He rolls over a ton (he will roll the whole length of the living room in a circle)We were so shocked the first morning we went in to find he had done a 180 in his crib (see pic)
- He loves Mt. Dew (see video & pic), really I just think its the color green he loves
- He eats solid foods now: peas, beans, apples, carrots, peaches ( I love making him homemade food and get so excited to see how much he loves it)He gags at the first bite of everything and makes a choking noise and then once he is used to it loves to eat and dive bombs the spoon- such a messy ordeal!
- He surprised me for the first time the other day when he peeked up over his crib padding to stare me in the eye when he woke up (see pic)
- He answers to his name and to our voices
- He LOVES LOVES LOVES his toys and bath time
- He likes water and swimming
- He drinks from a sippie cup
- He graduated to his big car seat (pictures next month)
- He sits up by himself but will fall over sideways

Some of the things we don't love so much:
- He wakes up in the middle of the night now so we are working on sleep training again
- He makes a huge huge huge mess of his diapers now (see pic)
- He is still outgrowing his pjs like crazy and now wears 6-9 month clothing! We are constantly at the store

We just love our little guy and I really love being able to interact with him now. We buy so many toys to play with just because I love it and love hanging out with him! We could not be happier and are so lucky with this kid (it actually makes us scared to have another because we won't get this lucky twice!) video

Tribute to Dad- late Father's Day Post

Josh had a great first Father's Day this year! I can't believe I forgot to post all about it before we left for our summer vacation. The day started off with bringing daddy breakfast in bed before church. During church the primary kids gave all of the dads candy necklaces (Josh kept eating his throughout Sunday school and I had to keep stopping him so I could get a picture when he got home). After church we spent the afternoon hanging out as a family and had a great time. We gave Josh a "Best Dad" tie, a reflex hammer and made him a hand print mold of Wyatt's hand. He was overjoyed to wear his tie to church as most of you can imagine!! We love Josh so much, he really is the best dad we could ask for and a great husband. I was reflecting the other day and remember a weekend when I was first pregnant. We traveled to Mt Pleasant (45 min away) to go shopping and to see a movie. I got hungry on the way of course and had to stop not only for take out but a smoothie as well (cravings). As we pulled into the parking lot of the theater, I got really really nauseous and needed to stay in the car to lie down before seeing the movie. Well I fell asleep and we missed the movie. The whole time Josh just sat in the car next to me and patiently listened to the radio. When I think about that story it is really a vivid description of my husband. He is the most patient person I have ever met, he is very loving and supportive, and selfless. I could not have asked for anything more except maybe a less busy husband. However, he is so busy because he does such great things for other people and because he is a great leader and example. I would not have wanted anyone else to be the father of my children and would be overjoyed if my son turned out to be just like him. Not to mention dad really makes us smile and laugh. Happy Father's Day Josh! video

End of 3rd Year Summer Vacation

I am overjoyed to announce that we have finally completed our 3rd year of school! For those of you who don't know a ton about medical school, 3rd year is by far the worst/hardest year with all of the crazy hours and overnight calls. To celebrate we decided to take a vacation to UT before coming home to crack the whip and study for step 2 boards. We had so much fun in UT seeing family and friends. We spent a day at Lagoon, The Hogle Zoo (Wyatt's first trip to a zoo and a theme park), wake boarding/boating with friends, Antelope Island, The Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House, we watched Josh's brother at the Olympic Ski Park, Josh did a wave simulation riding for his birthday, rodeo in my hometown, the etc. Wyatt got to see his aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends again and loved every minute of it (he was totally spoiled by everyone and all of the fun stuff they bought for him to play with). We were also there to celebrate not only Josh's birthday but my mothers as well and my parents anniversary. Wyatt also turned 5 months on our vacation (pictures to come in next post). I really loved spending time with everyone and very much miss Utah. Here are a few fun pictures to document our trip (I especially love the pictures of us packin up baby Wyatt)

Cypress Gardens

If any of you have seen The Notebook you would recognize the scene where they are feeding the swans in the lake and it starts raining on their boat ride. Well that was actually filmed here in SC at one of our favorite spots known as Cypress Gardens. Its actually a man made swamp with Cypress trees where you can go and take your own boat out to see gators (mind you these are wild gators and you are sure to see at least a few each time you go!) Its a really cool family fun place because they actually have a butterfly house, a exhibit of other gators and crocks from around the world, a aquarium of sorts, etc. Josh's sister and her family came to town to visit us this past weekend and of course Cyprus Gardens was on the menu. Here are a few pictures of the swamp, our little family and my favorite of course is Wyatt all tuckered out in the car after a fun family day in the HOT HOT HOT South Carolina Sun!

4 Months Part B

So we had our drs apt and the dr. called my boy a MOOSE! Do you believe that!?! ha ha ha! It probably has something to do with the fact that he is already 15 lbs. 10 oz and is 26 inches long. He has almost outgrow his car seat, which is fine by me because he is getting way too heavy for me to pack around in that thing. The dr. says he has started teething too, if that is true he has been such a good baby and never really complains. Wyatt has started playing in his excersaucer this month and loves it. He is so funny and will never just sit on your lap because he thinks he is ready to stand. Every time you sit him up he has such strong legs that he kicks them out and arches his back to try to stand up. (you can see this in the pictures where he is trying to stand up during one of his little fits on the couch). We took Wyatt on his first camping trip with the Young Women and he was totally the ladies man!

Some of my other favorite things about Wyatt:

He kicks and kicks his feet while I am feeding him. I laugh because it reminds me of how I was when I was young. (maybe he is going to be a dancer too- ha ha)

He starts to giggle at you and loves to watch Tyke and has recently started laughing at him

He puts everything and I mean everything in his mouth!

He gets so so excited in the mornings and after a nap when you walk into his room to get him up.

He still just talks and talks and talk when he wakes up. He never really cries you just hear him chattering to himself.

He is starting to find his feet too and will try to grab stuff with them. Like your arms when you are trying to change him :(

As promised here are some more of my favorite pictures from this month. PS I love the ones in his church suit except his arms are too long for the outfit. (it is 6 months so you can tell how much he is built like his daddy)

4 Months Part A

Wyatt is now officially 4 months old and is making me feel older and older by the day! We have had so many first this month that I am going to do 2 posts- one now and one after his official dr's apt. Wyatt officially started cereal at about 3.5 months and is so cute to watch him try to eat. He likes cereal time but still has that lizard tongue that spit it out once it gets in. He is getting better at it each night.

Some of my new favorite things about this little dude are:

He almost laughs now when he smiles. He usually does this in the middle of nursing him. Probably because he is the happiest right after he eats.

We are now on a afternoon sleep schedule because he started to not like to nap during the day and mommy had to kick that early!

Wyatt talks with his eyebrows so much. He always lifts them at you when he is smiling like he is checking you out. I LOVE THAT

He has started to play with his toys on his car seat and just loves them. Its so cute to hear him in the back seat get all excited and start moving them around.

He LOVES the bathtub now and loves to splash and kick. This kid NEVER stops kicking. He has the most active little legs I have ever seen.

He has grown out of all of his feetsy pjs AGAIN and we are now wearing 6 month size.

He can grab hold of his binki and take it out of his mouth but can't put it back in. This I don't love so much.

He likes playing itsy bitsy spider and patty cake.

I think one of my favorite things about my cute boy is that he is always aware and looking around. He is so observant and so mellow tempered. He never cries unless he is hungry or tired (and sometimes when he is hot- it's already in the 90's here). I am such a lucky proud mom! Here are a few pictures that we have taken over this past month. We celebrated by going shopping for new clothes for him and earlier this month we fed the birds with his friend Rhett. More pictures to come at the end of the week!

First Beach Trip

We had our first family beach trip and Wyatt loved it! I personally loved getting him dressed up in his cute swim clothes (as you can tell from all of my pictures). Mommy even made him have a little photo shoot with daddy and Wyatt in their new sun glasses. Wyatt was not quite sure how he felt about the water when Josh dipped his legs in an incoming wave. It was such great weather and such a great time laying out on the beach- we are really going to miss this part of South Carolina when we have to leave! Also a little update on my garden- it is growing like crazy and I am so impressed that I have not killed it yet! You can tell by the pictures that it wont be long before we will be enjoying some home grown: cantaloupe, broccoli, peas, peppers, and tomoatoes. Wyatt is almost 4 months old and has his dr. apt in two weeks so more updates to come!

My First Mothers Day

We had a great Mother's Day weekend! It started off on Friday when we headed to Greenville SC to see Josh's parents (who by the way are finally home from the hospital after 15 days! yah!) We spent the night there and made a yummy heart healthy dinner (we don't need any more heart attacks!) and dessert for the family. We had to come home for Sunday morning because I had to give a talk in church and Josh had to teach in EQ. I think my talk went well and I was excited to give a talk on Mother's Day. Josh and Wyatt gave me a beautiful picture of Joseph & Emma Smith and a book I had wanted- Mother's of Prophets (both of which I had bought for myself when I was in UT- poor Josh has been really really busy with school working 6 days a week and we have been out of town every weekend for the past few months). Since I had already bought myself my gift I have had the chance to read my book- which by the way is very inspiring and highly recommended. The book has inspired me to be a better woman, to become more self-reliant, thrifty, and a better example over all. I guess I must have been in the "pioneer" mode and so I convinced Josh to help me start a small garden (much like the prophet's mothers). We also got to web cam with my family to wish my mom a happy Mother's Day. Josh and I made the mom's a picture of the grand kids (see my mom's picture attached). When I was in UT my mom worked with my sister and I on our cake decorating skills. This is a hobby I love and have picked up from my mom (years of watching her make beautiful cakes will do that to you). Obviously I am not nearly as talented as my mother but I am grateful that she has taught me that skill, which is one out of many. I am lucky to have a mom like her who has taught my sister and I to be so self-reliant. I am not going to lie when I say Josh is very grateful she taught me how to cook! I am also very grateful to my Father in Heaven for giving me such an amazing little boy and trusting me to help him and teach him here on the earth. I love my son so very much and that is all I could think of as I ended my day rocking him to sleep and watching him smile at me (the best moments of my life!) Here are a few pictures of the mother's day gifts we made, my mother's day present, the garden Josh and I planted and a cookie bouquet I decorated for Josh's mom. Hope you all had a wonderful day! (ps did I mention Wyatt gave me a little gift of his own to wish me a happy day- after church he had a little blow out all over my lap! Oh the joy's of motherhood)

Wyatt is 3 months old

Wyatt was 3 months old on May 2, 2009. I say it every month and I will say it again, I can't believe how fast he is growing up! It seems that he changes everyday, which is exciting but sometimes makes a mommy sad. This month we went to visit my family in UT. He got to meet all of his great grandparents, cousins, great aunts and uncles and his uncle Cody & aunt Layna for the first time (not to mention some of his new best friends). Even though Josh could not go with us this trip we had a great time. Wyatt loved his aunt Krissy because she sounds like me. He also loved his uncle Jason (who reminds him of Josh was my guess). Wyatt slept most of the flights which was good because we had 3 layovers and the travel time to get there was 15 hours and to get back was 9. Josh really missed Wyatt and could not believe how much he had changed while we were gone. This month Wyatt's grandpa had a heart attack so we took many trips to go visit him in the hospital (he is recovering very well!) We spent his 3 month birthday going to Macaroni Grill and visiting Josh's parents and brother and Wyatt got to spend some time with his cousin Noah. You can tell from the picture at Macaroni Grill (Josh with Wyatt in the car seat) that Wyatt had so much fun he was just worn out. Some of his 3 months firsts are:
  • He loves to play superman with dad now (usually he sticks his legs straight out in the air- I think he was lazy for this photo). Wyatt just loves it and gets the biggest smile on his face (I thinks its adorable to watch my boys playing).
  • Wyatt talks so much now you can't even believe it (especially after eating and a diaper change)
  • He sleeps 7-8 hours a night now! YEAH BABY (as you can tell by this picture this kid still loves his sleep and never fusses when we put him in his bed at night)
  • He moved into the big boy seat in his bath tub
  • He is a little bubble machine and constantly has bubbles foaming from his lips (his cousin Emerson thought that was hilarious when we visited her in UT)
Wyatt is such a special little guy and we love him so much. It is amazing to me how he has such a personality already. Its especially exciting for me because I now know what he wants when he cries, I know all his different cries- its like Wyatt and I have a language all our own! Here are a few pictures we have taken recently of his birthday day as well as some from UT with is friend Jack (born 2 weeks after Wyatt) and some family photos taken in March

Our First Easter

Wyatt had such a great time his first Easter. We started the festivities off when our friends came over to color eggs with us after a fun FHE learning about the Resurrection. The Easter Bunny visited Wyatt and boy did he get spoiled this year. Wyatt got a fun tummy time mat thing, a board book about the Savior (for church), a book of animals, some fun gator tub toys and a furry rabbit. The Easter Bunny came to see Josh too- who got tons of candy that he will probably make himself sick on again this year. I can't forget Tyke who got a stuffed dog from the Easter Bunny. Later that evening we went to our friend Rhett's for an amazing Easter dinner and a fun Easter Egg Hunt (Rhett just loves Wyatt as you can tell from the photo). Here are some fun Easter pictures that we got (don't mind my little photo shoot, I had to take advantage. I know this is the one and only year my son will put up with me posing him for pictures and probably the last year my husband will let me humiliate my son taking these girly pictures!)

Wyatt's 2 Months & Happy early Easter to Everyone

Today is Wyatt's 2 month birthday! It is an awful rainy yucky day outside so we celebrated by having a mommy/son movie day in our pj's. I can't believe how fast my little guy is growing up and how time flies. Here are a few updates: he weighs over 13 lbs., he now is starting to smile on purpose and has his little happy moments- like after he eats and we are changing his diaper, he makes his little boy noises for like 15 min while he is waking up before he is ready to eat. He holds his head up really well and now is learning to scoot his body up to the edge of the changing table when he is laying down. You can tell he is eager to crawl because his legs move with fury but he just isn't getting traction under them. We are so grateful he almost sleeps through the night and will sleep for a stretch of around 5 hours! He is wearing 3-6 month clothes and his feet are so long they are outgrowing the feetsy pjs. My favorite thing is that his eyelashes are growing and are getting really long and darker- now the rest of his hair needs to do the same. His little personality is growing and he now throws what I call his little tantrums- when you are feeding him and take his bottle away to measure how much he has eaten or to burp him he gets so mad, face turning red and starts swinging his hands all over and kicking his legs at you- that is about the only time this guy gets upset is when he is hungry (like his dad). He can also pull my hair now and grabs onto it every chance he gets so don't be suprised when you see me with short hair! He loves music. When he is upset in the car Josh and I will sing to him and everytime it calms him down (I think he is the only person in the world that likes our singing so we love it and will belt it out any time we can). He also loves to fall asleep to his Mo. Tab cd (we will be switching to the children's hymn book soon).

A few nicknames Josh and I have for him are:
Bubs or Bubbies, little man, dude, stud, stinker, love bug, son and of course Wyatt Scott when he is being a little bum :)

We just love this little guy and are so grateful for him. We can't even remember what our lives were like before this sweet boy came along.

Our First Overnighter

Ok, so you experienced parents will probably have a good laugh with this one... the Fuller family has now taken our first official overnight trip! Can I just say I had no idea how time consuming it is to get all of us out of the house (I mean all 4 of us- Tyke included). I literally was packing for several hours, for us to head up to Greenville, SC for Josh's brother's wedding. I had no idea how much luggage comes with having a baby and a very needy dog. Josh and I are more exhausted now after having a short vacation. We had a good time, we stayed at the Hilton and enjoyed our little getaway. We were able to spend some time with Josh's brothers from out of state and Wyatt got to meet all of his uncles, aunts and cousins (as you can see from the pictures Sofie LOVED to kiss baby Wyatt and couldn't leave him alone). We can't believe how big some of the kids have gotten since we have seen them last. It makes me realized I need to be taking more pictures because time flies by. Wyatt was so funny and of course gave us a run for our money. It was a good thing I packed a lot of extra clothes and diapers as he used them ALL (that little stinker)! Here are a few photos we got on our trip. We took Wyatt to Frankie's Fun Park so the boys could drive the go carts and bat some balls (although Wyatt thinks he is big enough to play along mom disagrees so we hung out in the bjorn and watched). We took the kids to the beach while Joe, Cynthia & Sofie were in Charleston (it was windy so Wyatt spent his first beach trip under a blanket), and my favorite pictures of Daddy and Wyatt napping at the hotel (a few photos of them napping at home before the trip- I think it's Josh's favorite thing to do with him) I can't believe this boy is almost 2 months old. (for those who are curious he weighs 12 lbs. already! and LOVES his binki more than anything- he sounds like Maggie Simpson when he is chompin on that thing)

Wyatt's Newborn Photo Shoot

So we have an awesome friend that does photography, some of you may know him- Rob McDaniel. We asked him to come and get some shots of Wyatt and they turned out so great. My baby boy is so adult that he would sit his head up for a lot of the shots and make cute faces for us. The rest of the time he slept and was out cold so I could put him into really awkward poses that I think look adorable. I am sure one day my son will appreciate me- ha ha ha. Anyway we are so grateful for Rob and think he did an awesome job and I wanted to share a few of my favorite pictures with you all. (ok so I have a lot of favorites)

Wyatt is 1 Month Old

I can't believe my baby is one month old already- its true what everyone says that when you're a parent time flies by. Here are a few updates, firsts and fun pictures of my sweet little son.

Wyatt already rolls over- he was playing on his tummy and learned how to roll to his back, not once but twice (on each side). He's starting to see things and will play with his mobile, stare into your eyes during feedings, and tries to pick up his toys. He is so independent and tries to hold his own bottle (you can prop it up and he will hold it for you). He gets really impatient when he is hungry (appetite like his dad and patience like his mommy). He does not sleep as much as he did a few weeks ago but this kid is so hard to wake up or keep awake (except at 2 am). He slept through his first bath (except to pee in the tub), you can tickle his ears, feet, etc and you get no reaction other than a unpleasant look on his face. He weighs over 10 lbs now and eats like a little piggy. He typically eats between 4 and 5 oz a feeding now and has been known to eat up to 6 (I can't keep up with this child). He already wears 0 to 3 month clothes (some 3-6 onesies) and can't fit into any of the newborn clothing. He loves to stretch in the mornings before he gets up for a feeding and will typically throw one arm up into the air (Josh always says he is going to be a great public speaker- POWER TO THE PEOPLE is what Josh calls this pose). He loves to only mess in a clean diaper and will wait until we change his wet diaper to let anything rip. He only wakes up in the middle of the night for 2 feedings (12 and 3). He hates wearing hats and socks (certainly none of the cute shoes I bought). He has to have his arms out of the blanket when he sleeps at night so of course his little paws are always frozen when I am feeding him (however our friend Lindsay taught us the arms out swaddle which he seemed to like). He sleeps kind of on his side and likes to curl up. He gets excited now when Josh gets home, he can be throwing a fit with me and the second Josh walks in and picks him up he is fine (not cool!). He is already sick of me kissing him and will push me away with his strong arms and you can really tell he is growing up too too fast. Here are a few fun pictures of his first bath, one month and we have his professional photo shoot pictures coming soon! (ps don't worry family I have taken a TON of video. In fact I am thinking I am not taking as many pictures and need to do more of that).

Burly Beard

I need to post an update to some recent Fuller family pictures. I have had a few comments about Josh's facial hair. As sweet as everyone is to comment how they like his hairy look, I want to explain why he has the recent growth. Josh, along with other doctors, is participating in a fundraiser at MUSC called Beard for Babies. The med students as well as residents, attendings, etc have been encouraged to grow their facial hair for a whole month and collect donations from sponsors to help raise money for the MUSC Children's Hospital. Everyone shaved their face clean on Feb. 1st and let their beards grow as they will until the end of the month. It is very convenient that this fundraiser happened when Wyatt was born and during a time of pictures for our family! Gotta love his new look. He is more than happy to document his efforts however, and honestly I am happy that he is so willing to participate. So until the end of the month my husband looks like a mountain man! If anyone would like more information on how to donate to the cause please let me know, they are still accepting sponsors (mind you there is no limit or minimum for the donations).

Wyatt's Blessing

Wyatt was blessed on Sunday February 15, 2009. Josh did such a great job blessing him and it was such a great day! I am so proud of my wonderful guys. Wyatt was blessed to be a great missionary and have a desire to learn and grow in the gospel as well as teach others. He was blessed to excel in school and attend college. Wyatt was blessed to have the opportunity to be married in the temple along with other blessings that Heavenly Father would desire him to have. I see so much of Josh in Wyatt and can only hope that he grows up to be as great as his dad. I am so very lucky to have a strong priesthood holder in our home and to have such a sweet boy in my life. I could not be more grateful or any happier. I love my two studs so much. We are also very blessed to have such great families that all made it to his blessing. Here are a few pictures to document our special occasion.
